The Arms of Love Children's Home in Castanhal, Brazil
welcomes you to our web site. We are excited about
what God is doing in the Eastern Amazon region of
Brazil! Many children's lives will be redeemed and
placed in loving families as the ground breaking starts
and new homes are constructed.

The Arms of Love Children's Home is the result of a
decades long dream of Scott Toth, missionary and
pastor of Igreda de Paz (Church of Peace) in
Castanhal. The children's home will be a sanctuary
for abandoned and abused children who desperately
need the transformation of a loving God through the
care of a caring and Christ-centered family.

Every day in cities throughout Brazil, countless thousands of children from
ages 2 - 20 spend their lives trying to survive on the street. Through abuse,
abandonment, family breakdown and poverty, the harshness of life claims
many children as victims. Children are often regarded as "excess baggage"
in families where scarce resources do not provide enough food to eat.
Many children are forced to beg on the streets or steal for their survival.
Abuse of many varieties force children out of their homes and into the
streets to the "safety" of gangs and drug use. On the streets, children find
that independence and safety from the violence at home bears many costs.
Prostitution, drug abuse, gang violence, hunger, AIDS and unwanted
pregnancies are some of the many results children find in street life.

The answer is Jesus Christ and His power to transform lives. He loves each
and every child on the street and He desires that each child come into a
relationship with Himself and be transformed into His image!

God chooses His people and His church to be His instruments of love in the
world. The Arms of Love Children's Home is dedicated to taking children off
the street and bringing them to Jesus!

We will be building a small community of homes for around 40 children.
Each home will have room for 6 - 8 boys or girls and will be supervised by
loving house parents. The children will be schooled, tutored and discipled
in the knowledge of Jesus Christ to enable them to become the person God
created them to be.

To this end, we have purchased
30 acres of land outside
Castanhal, where we will build our
