Arms of Love Children's Home -
Castanhal, Brazil
Photographs of "Camp Shalom"
"Shalom" is a Hebrew word that means to "make whole" and "peace". We can think of no better words to
name and describe our new children's home property. It will be here, on these acres God provided, that
children who are broken and discarded from a harsh world will come and be made whole through the
transforming work of Jesus, our risen Saviour.

As Christians and servants of Jesus Christ, we are called to be
His agents of love and justice in this world. Street kids in Brazil
are victims of many injustices. Abuse, abandonment, poverty
and broken families are just a few of the injustices the kids grow
up with. Throughout the last five years, God has been calling
our family to minister to these kids in a major way.
In addition to our calling, God's Word has been instrumental in
leading us to understand His heart for children. We have been
led to many Scripture verses throughout the whole Bible telling
us of God's special heart for children. Our Father God tells us
repeatedly of His love and desire for justice for His children.
God desires that His children be a part of a true family, a family
as God designed it. Psalm 68 states that God is the true Father
and that He "places the lonely in families."
We are in Castanhal to help build a family home for children
who have no home. A place for the lonely, where they can be
introduced to the one, true Father. The Arms of Love Children's
Home will be a place for children to be nourished in mind, body
and spirit, to become true disciples of Jesus Christ.

Site plan for "Sitio Shalon". Below are two renditions of our site plan for the
children's homes. The one is a drawing of the "living" areas for housing, the
driveway, the pond, etc. Below is a larger view of the entire property, including
recreational areas and agricultural areas.
As you pray for the
children, "picture" them
on this property, smiles
of joy on their faces, as
they are transformed
into the children of God
they are meant to be.
We believe that Jesus
will create an "army" of
young people that will be
introduced to Jesus,
grow in His word and
Spirit to be true
disciples and to go out in
strength to advance the
Kingdom of God in other
corners of the world.
Can you picture it?
Will you pray with us?
Believe it can happen!
All for the Glory of God!
